My interest in birth work began shortly after my first birth experience in Portland, Oregon 21 years ago.
I birthed my daughter at home supported by my partner, my midwife and her assistant. The experience changed me! I was empowered by what I was able to do. I was strong, in control, and capable. As a result of being informed and educated, I was not scared. I knew and believed birth to be a natural process and was surrounded by people who deeply cared about me and who understood and trusted the process of birth. I was inspired! |

Ever since this transforming experience I have been passionate about educating and supporting mothers and families as they make this wondrous transition into parenthood. I have been teaching Bradley Method Natural Childbirth classes in Rhode Island since 2012. The families I work with vary greatly! My classes are attended by a folks planning home, hospital, and even birth center births. As a lifelong learner I continue to participate in professional learning opportunities by attending workshops and conferences, and staying informed of the most up to date evidence regarding pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum care.
